Job Summary Pro Bono: The Chief Financial Officer focuses on overseeing our financial activities and provides financial analysis, planning, and reporting. The CFO also reviews all Business Unit Budgets and overall budget. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to sound financial processes and procedures. You may have a first career and want to do this as a second career, or you are financially independent. Responsibilities: Develop and monitor the annual and long-term budgets Establish sound fiscal strategy to meet organizational priorities and goals Review revenue strategy to determine the optimal fee and service structures Review and manage each Business Unit Budget Create/implement & monitor policies for bookkeeping, accounting, purchasing, procurement, reimbursements, expense reports, workflow, approvals, and other fiscal functions Roll up each Business Unit Budget into a master Budget Expenditure sheet for evaluation Prepare all financial reports: Balance Sheet; P&L YTD, and Y-O-Y. Review Quickbooks and all categorizations Conduct research and provide recommendations on financial matters to management Oversee the annual financial review and tax return preparation Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Minimum seven years of corporate or nonprofit financial management experience Experience with nonprofit finances and accounting practices preferred Critical attention to detail Clear verbal and communication skills Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (some training provided) Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus Benefits: Part-time, flexible remote positions Opportunity to work with a diverse, global team representing over 25 cultures Gain experience with a Tech for Good nonprofit With proven success & a positive attitude, UniversalGiving is likely to facilitate J1, OPT visas Duration and Location: Position is available for part-time (5-20 hours per week) Minimum 6 months commitment We provide remote positions with a highly globally focused team from more than 20 countries.
