Job Description

Summary:

A construction company that specializes in concrete and masonry work is looking to hire Field Employees to join their rapidly growing team. This is a full-time permanent position. The ideal candidate will have a background in Concrete or Masonry Construction, with experience in block placement, mortar application/reinforcement, cutting, shaping, preparation, mixing/pouring, finishing, or curing.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and set up forms for concrete placement, including measuring, cutting, and assembling formwork.
* Mix concrete according to specifications, ensuring proper consistency and strength. Pour and spread concrete into forms, using tools to level and smooth the surface.
* Apply finishing techniques such as troweling, brooming, or stamping to achieve the desired surface texture and appearance.
* Implement curing methods to ensure concrete achieves proper strength and durability, including applying curing compounds or covering with wet burlap.

Masonry:
* Lay concrete masonry units (CMUs) or blocks according to blueprints and project specifications, ensuring proper alignment and leveling.
* Prepare and apply mortar to bond blocks together, using trowels and other masonry tools.
* Install reinforcement bars (rebar) or mesh as required for structural integrity.
* Cut and shape blocks as needed to fit around corners, openings, or irregular surfaces.
* Clear and prepare work areas, including the removal of debris and obstructions.
* Conduct regular inspections of work to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and quality standards.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

* Experience in concrete mixing/pouring OR block installation construction
* Experience applying finishing techniques (troweling, brooming, and/or stamping) or cutting with saws
* Experience tying and laying rebar preferred
* Reliable transportation - traveling to job sites within a 1 hour radius
* Valid DL Synerfac
