Job Description: The Digital Marketing and Content Manager position at WSRE PBS is classified as a Professional/Managerial position at Pensacola State College requiring an excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices. WSRE seeks a highly skilled and creative Digital Marketing and Content Manager to drive brand awareness, increase engagement, and grow membership with oversight of the public television station's digital marketing strategy, front-end website development, social media management, email marketing, and video platform content curation. Job responsibilities include content creation following PBS brand standards, management of WSRE content on PBS platforms, and analysis of digital marketing metrics. On occasion, this position requires work on nights and/or weekends. This position reports to the Director, Marketing and Communications, WSRE.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree, and two years experience in marketing, communications, digital media or related field required; OR High school diploma or GED, and six years progressively responsible experience in website content management, marketing, digital media or comparable industry may substitute for required degree and experience. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
