About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Teaching and Learning to provide strategic leadership in the development and delivery of curriculum and instructional programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the consistent implementation of the curriculum across all grade levels, with a focus on vertical alignment from Pre-Kindergarten to high school. This role involves overseeing the integration of the curriculum with the needs of diverse learner programs, including gifted and talented, advanced academics, bilingual/ESL, special education, and career and technical education. The Executive Director will also be tasked with monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of instructional programs, managing a budget, and leading staff development initiatives to support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Master's degree in curriculum and instruction or a related field, with a preference for this educational background. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a classroom teacher and 3 years in instructional leadership roles is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PK-12 curriculum and instruction, as well as the ability to interpret data, evaluate instructional programs, and manage personnel. Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proven track record of leading large-scale educational programs and staff training in research-based instructional practices. The role also demands a commitment to policy compliance, budget management, and fostering a culture of academic excellence and continuous learning.
