Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. operates in a competitive global market producing wide-ranging metal-based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Mining, Oil & Gas, Crane and Drag-line Components, Agricultural, Machine building, and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing. Located in Windsor, CA.

Increased over the years, our extensive plant capacity developed to cater for our multi-million-pound turnover is spread across four facilities manned by over 200 employees. It incorporates shot blasting, stress-relieving, fitting, welding, machining, non-destructive testing, final paint, right on through to our own logistics network, resulting in high-value finished items across many diverse sectors.

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking 2 permanent full-time (minimum of 40 - 48 hours per week) INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC (Millwright) for a fabrication and machine shop. This dynamic individual may be any level of registered millwright apprentice (433A). The position is on the day shift but we typically operate on a rotating shift of days and afternoons. Due to the nature of this work, extra hours will be required as needed.

Job Requirements :

- English language

- Manufacturing experience is an asset

- Knowledge of CNC repair is an asset

- Experience in a fabrication facility an asset

- Able to stand for extended periods of time

- Work within a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

Duties :

- Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures

- Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts

- Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances

- Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments

- Perform predictive and operational procedures

- Repair or replace defective parts
