IT Administrator
Job description:
We are an IT support firm seeking an IT Admin to work full-time in the Rancho Cordova/Sacramento, CA area.
Responsibilities will include:
*Work with the client and IT mgmt. to prioritize work assignments
*Provide recommendations for efficiency and automation
*Provide detailed metrics on IT-related tasks
*Manage onsite inventory of equipment and oversee shipping/receiving of all IT equipment
*Facilitate project completion
*Work within a team of 2 additional (onsite) IT techs
Technical responsibilities will include:
*Administration and troubleshooting of Windows-based devices
*Administration of Microsoft 365 / Office 365
*Administration of a Google-based environment including Google Workspace and Chromebooks
*Basic Apple MAC-based administration and troubleshooting
*Managing and responding to tickets via ZenDesk

This job is located onsite at our clients office in Rancho Cordova. The client is a distance learning public charter school serving grades K-12. You will work within a team of IT professionals that are responsible for the clients entire Technology department. Your day will be spent at a single location but you may be required to travel between remote sites (as-needed and infrequently). The general schedule is M-F ~8:00am to 4:30pm with a 30 min. lunch. After-hours and weekend work rarely occurs but is sometimes necessary.
Qualifications:
People skills: this is the number one requirement. You must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Experience: 3+ yrs of experience supporting users in a helpdesk role
Initiative: you must be a self-starter that is capable of managing a task list and be able to identify new items that need to be completed.
Multitasker: you will be required to track multiple items at once (tickets, projects, etc.). Please be comfortable switching gears as necessary.
Other: this is an organization that works with children and as such you will be required to complete a background check. Occasionally, you may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Bonus: Experience working in an education environment; industry standard IT certifications (A+, N+, Microsoft-based, etc.)
