North Shore Country Day School, a JK-12 independent school near Chicago, seeks a dynamic, full-time Middle School Math teacher starting with the 2025-26 Academic Year. While a bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree is preferred. North Shore is eager to consider applications from groups traditionally underrepresented in independent school communities. 

The goal of our middle math program is to empower students to make meaningful connections between theoretical and applied math. The middle school math curriculum extends from typical 6th grade math content through Algebra 1 and Geometry. We seek candidates with three or more years of experience; demonstrated passion and talent in engaging students in mathematical thinking; and a commitment to working collaboratively as part of our middle school and our math department.

Because North Shore has a 1:1 iPad program 6th-8th, candidates should be skilled integrators of 21st century technology into their teaching practice.

We seek candidates who have invested in growing their intercultural competencies and whose work – inside and outside the classroom - reflect those competencies. 

Salary Range: $60,000-$95,000

This salary range represents the expected  annual salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your education level, experience, and other job-related factors.
