Job Summary

We are look ing for indi vidual to join our client’s team as Packaging Associate.  The Packaging Associate is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the production line, ensuring that cartridge packaging, lid application, coding, labeling, and packaging processes are carried out efficiently and accurately. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the supervisor will monitor all aspects of production to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to operational standards. This position requires a hands-on approach, with the supervisor being actively present on the production floor to maintain continuous operations.

 

Job Description

  • Oversee the production line operations, ensuring smooth and efficient running at all times.
  • Monitor cartridge packaging, lid application, coding, labeling, and packaging processes to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Ensure that correct components, codes, and labels are used according to production specifications.
  • Make continuous improvements to the line by adjusting settings, cleaning, and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor product quality and promptly report any damage or off-spec conditions to Quality Control (QC).
  • Recommend necessary maintenance or operational changes to improve efficiency and prevent production downtime.
  • Ensure all product specifications are met and resolve any issues related to product quality.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by keeping the area clean, clutter-free, and well-maintained.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by the safety manager.
  • Regularly check warehouse equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Be dependable and punctual, reporting to work on time and notifying the team in advance if absence is necessary.
  • Ensure availability for daily production activities and assist in production efforts as required.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Plant Manager.

 

Skills Required

  • Ability to lift 40-60 lbs. 20-30 times per hour.
  • Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours per day.
  • Frequent bending is required.
  • Minimal climbing may be required.
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods, and to lift up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
  • Ability to read and understand production documents, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and safety information.

 

Education/Certification/Training

  • H igh School diploma or GED required.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a production environment preferred.
  • Experience in production or mechanical roles is helpful.

 

Additional Details

  • Steel-toe work boots or shoes are required at all times.
  • Safety glasses must be worn at all times.
  • Gloves required when formulating active ingredients or handling materials.
  • Ear protection as required by operating machinery.
  • Working temperature varies between areas on the production floor.
  • Minimal dust in the work environment.
  • Good lighting throughout the production area.

 

Pay Rate

  • $16 per hour
