**Job Summary:**

We seek a dedicated Painter to join our maintenance team at funeral homes throughout Central Jersey. As a Painter, you will enhance the beauty of our residential units, common areas, and external facilities and contribute significantly to creating a comforting and inviting environment for families in need.

By maintaining and improving the aesthetic quality of our facilities, you help foster a sense of home and community for our funeral families during some of their most difficult moments. Your skills and attention to detail will ensure that these spaces are welcoming and visually appealing, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Transform Spaces**: Perform detailed interior painting in apartments, focusing on preparations such as spackling, sanding, priming, caulking, masking, and taping to achieve exceptional finishes that enhance the living experience.
- **Surface Preparation**: Maintain cleanliness and protect the environment by using drop cloths and other coverings; apply primer and prepare surfaces to ensure a flawless painting process.
- **Collaborative Support**: Work alongside our maintenance team to assist with minor repairs and various projects, contributing to an efficient and well-kept community that families can rely on.
- **Ready for New Beginnings**: Ensure apartments are fully prepared for new residents by completing paint touch-ups and addressing any surface repairs, helping to create a fresh start for families.
- **Organized Work Area**: Keep your workspace tidy and organized, ensuring that all tools and supplies are stored properly after completing tasks, reflecting the care we put into our facilities.
- **Responsive Work Order Management**: Schedule, monitor, and fulfill work order requests from supervisors, community staff, and residents in a timely and professional manner, demonstrating our commitment to service.
**Qualifications:**
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Painter in multifamily residential or commercial real estate.
- Proficient in using a range of painting tools and equipment, such as brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent color-matching skills.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of paint properties, finishes, and preparation techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and manage time effectively.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in commercial complexes or similar settings.
- Basic knowledge of drywall repair and minor carpentry for wall preparation.
- Experience in trim carpentry preferred.
