Pediatric surgery unit is seeking coverage starting December 31 in Columbia, SC.Schedule: Need December 31-January 6 urgently, then more into 2025-Coverage needed per month: Weekend call-Frequency of any Call needed: Friday 7am start Monday 7am end Work Details: -Support staff: 1 RN, 2 CMA, 2 front desk staff. -Pediatric specialties available for back up include: NICU, Gastro, Critical Care, Hospitalists, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Adult Surgery. Other back up specialties include: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Nephrology, Infectious Disease, Hematology and Oncology, Orthopedics, Rheumatology, Pulmonology. -On Fridays, there will be in-town physicians available for questions.-Department Description: Pediatric surgery unit, includes neonatal surgery and ECMO cannulation. Pediatric Trauma for 14 years and under. Locum will need to be comfortable supervising other healthcare providers. -pediatrics, 16 PICU, 78 beds-EMR/Documentation System: EPIC-Special Procedures Required: Arterial lines, thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, needle pneumothorax, decompression, x-ray interpretation, suturing, ParacentesisRequirements: -Board Certifications: Surgery, Pediatrics-State License:SC required-BLS, PALS, DEA, FLU Vaccine (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
