Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Are you interested in joining an innovative team that is at the forefront of solving complex business problems? For millions of customers worldwide, the Amazon name is synonymous with delivery – and the Delivery Experience (DEX) team provides those customers with innovative ways to get what they want and need, enabling the choices they make on every order, every day. We combine massive customer impact with retail invention, solving huge business and technical challenges along the way.

We are hiring a Principal Product Manager – Tech to lead the product of the "Unified Delivery Signal (Speed, Regionalization, shipping price etc.) platform". A major innovation called out in the recent Amazon Shareholder Letter and earnings reports, Regionalization shifted our operations from a national fulfillment network where we fulfill any order from any building to a set of 9 interconnected regions where we strive to fulfill customer demand from in-region buildings and close FC to customers. DEX is providing signals such as Regionalization, Speed, Shipping price, customers' delivery intent to many algorithm partners such as Search, Personalization and Sponsor products. It's critical to build a scalable tech platform product to accelerate the innovation in this space and enables new experience such as "Get it by Christmas" feature. As the lead Product manager, you will drive this critical initiative, bringing teams from across the organization and around the globe together to define, build, and deliver both the platform product and selected flagship products on top of the platform, improve our store experience for customers, and drive resounding business impact.

The Principal PM-T is responsible for developing long-term vision and strategy for the "Unified Delivery Signal Platform" and leading its execution. You will define the goals, strategy, and KPIs, align with key partners in SCOT, SFS, algorithm teams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, operators, designers, and product and program managers to bring it to life.

The ideal candidate for this position has high customer obsession, strong influencing and engagement skills, the ability to dive deep and quickly get up to speed on a diverse set of technical and business challenges, and a successful track record of setting the vision for and driving large, cross-functional initiatives to completion. You must be able to lead by influence and effectively collaborate with product, program, operations, design, and tech teams and executive stakeholders. You are an excellent written and verbal communicator and can effectively communicate ideas and information and drive decision-making for audiences up to and including VPs. You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work setting, are comfortable with ambiguity, and can effectively manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently while making data- and customer-driven decisions.

Key job responsibilities
• Drive the development of the strategy, roadmap, and business plan
• Be a passionate advocate for the customer; understand and articulate customer needs, leverage internal knowledge and expertise and external market research, and prioritize requirements
• Inspire the team with the product vision, and work cross-functionally to bring that vision to life
• Write requirements documents, help define use cases and CX, and own the business metrics and KPIs for your products and services
• Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
- Experience interpreting and communicating analytics
- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
