*Northern Light Acadia Hospital*

*Department: *Adult Therapy Clinic

*Position is located: *Remote orHybrid (Bangor, ME area)

*Work Type: *Full Time \ 40 Hours per week \ Mon-Fri \ 8:00am to 4:30pm

*Requirements:*
* Master's Degree
* 2+ Years Pervious Experience
* Valid Maine LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT License (or eligible)

*Summary: *Adult Outpatient Therapy offers individual, couples, and group therapy to adults 18 and older. They also provide diagnostic evaluations and intakes for admission into Acadia’s services. The team is comprised of conditionally and fully licensed counselors and social workers. They offer remote and hybrid opportunities as well as flexible schedules. Conditionally licensed clinicians develop exceptional clinical skills and often report feeling prepared to take their licensing exams. The department’s fully licensed clinicians are trained in a wide variety of therapeutic modalities to include, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotional Freedom Tapping, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Clinicians are encouraged to find and use their own creative selves to deliver excellent service. Team members are readily available to our clinicians to provide support and supervision with cases. Clinicians are also encouraged grow and gain leadership skills, if interested. New hires often comment on the support and strength of this department.

*Responsibilities *:
* Completes comprehensive, diagnostic evaluations by collecting data which enables the identification of potential therapeutic targets for active treatment.
* Develops initial master treatment plan and updates in collaboration with the patient and within established timeframes that identify effective interventions to achieve outcomes, and accommodate the patient's developmental level, motivation, health/spiritual beliefs, functional capabilities and strengths.
* Implements individual, group and family therapy interventions that are evidence-based and are consistent with service plan and developmental level and needs of patient to elicit therapeutic change.
* Modifies interventions based on continual assessment of the patient's response to treatment.
* Articulates anticipated treatment outcomes that are patient oriented, evidence based, therapeutically sound, realistic, attainable and measurable.
* Completes documentation that reflects evidence-based practices, active patient involvement in care, attention to objective outcomes and identification of any barriers to treatment progress.
* Maintains a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures, reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
* Continually seeks to develop professionally by providing didactic clinician and interdisciplinary trainings within identified specialty areas.
