UPMC McKeesport is hiring Full-Time Staff Nurse to support the 2M Rehab Unit. The 2M Unit has a large focus on teamwork and collaboration and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of its patients!   This Full-Time position will work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

* Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the My Nursing Career Ladder based on their individual experience and education. Title and salary will be determined based on education and nursing  experience. *

  • Supports the development of students, new staff, and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor.

  • Good clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are required for various aspects of patient care.

  • Mobility and visual manual dexterity. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.

  • BSN preferred.
  • \n
  • Completion of UPMC student nurse internship or student clinical transitions course at UPMC preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

\n
    \n
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • \n
  • Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Graduate Nurses must complete the licensure examination within 4 months of hire  or within one year of graduation- whichever comes first. UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 4 months of their start date, or they will be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU.
  • \n
  • UPMC-approved national certification is preferred.
  • \n
  • NIH Certification will be required within 6 months of hire.
  • \n
  • CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • \n
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • \n
  • Act 34 and 73 with renewal. 
  • \n
