Job Description

We are excited to welcome a passionate Teacher for Students with Visual Impairments to our dedicated educational team in Washington State! In this vital role, you will provide tailored educational support that enhances learning and fosters independence for students facing visual challenges.

Position Details:

Employment Type: Part-time (now through the end of the school year)
Caseload: Students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade
Compensation: Starting at $40/hour

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students
Valid Washington certification for teaching students with visual impairments (TVI)
Relevant experience in special education or with visually impaired students
Knowledge of adaptive technologies and effective teaching strategies for this population
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

Candidates must successfully complete a tech screening to ensure adequate download speeds, Wi-Fi reliability, and proficiency with Zoom
Applicants should be comfortable working as independent contractors
Contractors are required to obtain professional liability insurance prior to the start of their assignment
