Job Description
• This position is required to conduct microbial tests of food products and environmental samples using established Campbell’s protocols under the guidance of the supervisor.
• This position is required to follow established protocols for maintaining and testing stock cultures under the guidance and direction of the supervisor.
Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Safety / Microbiology, Biology, Microbiology, or equivalent.
• Years of relevant experience: minimum of 1 year of experience in a microbiology laboratory or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• This position requires the candidate to be capable of following directions and being fully responsible for work performed.
• This position requires proven skills at bench microbiology with good aseptic technique.
• This position requires the ability to understand, apply, and communicate microbiology principles to lab management.
• This position requires the candidate to be computer literate with the ability to work in Client Office and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• This position requires the candidate to be detail-oriented, well-organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and work effectively, both individually and in team settings.
• This position requires great problem-solving skills.
• Preferred theoretical knowledge in molecular biology and immunology; PCR and ELISA technology.
• This position requires occasional evening and weekend coverage to meet business objectives.
• This position requires the candidate to be flexible and work with changing priorities and timelines.
MUST HAVES:
Must have 1 year experience in a micro lab.
Aseptic technique and benchwork experience is a plus.
Must be flexible to work weekends and off-shift hours when needed.
