Job Title:Training Department ManagerClassification:ExemptDepartment:OperationsReports to:Plant ManagerPay GradeTBD by HRJob Summary:Ensure training plant goals is being meet, training timely conducted and effectively executed and documented. Training manager should coordinate between all departments, identify needs and constantly improve the site training plan.Duties and responsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.*Develop and Implement Training for all Maintenance, Slitter Operators, Line Operators, Lead Slitter/Line Operators, Erema/Material Handlers and Lab*Maintain training files and Matrix.*Maintains and prepares training reports for corporate office*Review and Edit SOP's and Work instructions*New Hire Orientation*Assist as backup for Safety*Create and maintains informational displays*Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.*Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.*Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods*Assists employees with problems concerning “how to” perform specific tasks related to their position.*Test specified employees as they progress through Pay of Skill *Confers with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.*Coordinates training schedule with the hiring and training demands for Packers, Scanners and the Warehouse.*Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods individual training*Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, etc.*Make suggestions on improving work procedures.*Develops strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback.*Other additional duties as requiredRequirements:High School Diploma, (or a GED) or equivalent experience is required.
Three years training experienceFour-year degree preferredCertified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) preferredEnvironment:This position requires much of the work to be completed on the production floor and frequent work done in an office environment.
