Job Description
A waste management company in Connecticut is looking to add a Transportation Safety Manager to join their team and oversee their Danbury, Shelton and Norwalk, CT locations. This individual will oversee the safety initiatives heavily focused on hauling operations. You will be responsible for driving positive change, making recommendations for safety improvements, working with upper management and individual contributes to mitigate incidents and ensure the organization remains in compliance with OSHA and DOT.
We are looking for a manager that prides themselves on building relationships with the field and management, isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and has a proven track record of improving safety across multiple orgs.
This position requires being onsite five days a week at Danbury, Shelton or Norwalk, CT location. It is a permanent role with a base salary of $105,000-$150,000 based on experience plus yearly bonus and merit increase eligibility.

Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of safety experience specific to hauling, vehicles, and operations
- Experience and well-versed with DOT and OSHA regulations
- Strong communication and analytical skills that help drive positive change
Nice to Have Skills & Experience - experience in the waste management industry
