Are you passionate about helping students with complex needs thrive, all from the comfort of your home? We are looking for a dedicated Virtual Special Education Teacher to provide remote instruction to a small caseload of 5 students with significant autism, cognitive impairments, non-verbal abilities, medical fragility, and self-injurious behaviors. You'll join a dynamic and supportive virtual team, with the assistance of 4 paraprofessionals to help in the virtual classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) remotely, focusing on life skills, communication, and academic development for students with significant needs.
Create an engaging, structured, and supportive learning environment through virtual platforms, with the assistance of 4 paraprofessionals to facilitate online learning.
Provide direct virtual instruction, tailoring teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students with autism, cognitive impairments, and medical fragility.
Collaborate regularly with paraprofessionals and support staff to ensure high-quality instruction and care for each student.
Maintain open, consistent communication with families, therapists, and school administrators to monitor and support student progress and well-being.

What We're Looking For:
Active Special Education certification in Maine (required).
Experience working with students with significant disabilities, including non-verbal, medically fragile, and behaviorally complex students.
Comfort and proficiency with online teaching tools and platforms to deliver engaging virtual instruction.
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to manage a remote classroom environment effectively.
