Job Title: Warehouse Shipping Coordinator Reporting to: Warehouse Manager or Logistics Supervisor

We seek a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Shipping Coordinator to join our team. The Warehouse Shipping Coordinator is crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate shipment of products from our warehouse to customers. This role involves overseeing the shipping process, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining shipping records. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Order Processing:

• Receive and review customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
• Verify product availability and ensure orders are packed and labeled correctly.

Shipment Coordination:

• Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Ensure the on-time departure of shipments and track their progress in transit.
• Communicate with carriers to resolve issues or delays during transit.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock counts and product locations.
• Monitor and report any discrepancies or shortages to the Warehouse Manager.

Quality Control:

• Inspect products for quality and adherence to specifications before shipping.
• Report any damaged or substandard products and coordinate returns or replacements.

Communication:

• Collaborate with various departments to address shipping-related inquiries and issues, including the sales team, warehouse staff, and customer service.
• Keep customers informed of shipment status and provide tracking information.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure that all shipping activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Handle hazardous materials and dangerous goods shipments by relevant guidelines.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping records, including proof of delivery and bill of lading documentation.
• Generate shipping reports for analysis and management review.

Problem Resolution:

• Address shipping-related issues, such as delivery delays, product damage, or incorrect shipments.
• Identify root causes and work on implementing corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics or related fields is a plus.

Proven experience in warehouse operations and shipping coordination.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.

Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to shipping.

Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic warehouse environment.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and other relevant software tools.
