Key Responsibilities and Duties The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: Delivering technical services in waste management solutions , including development, procurement, and operations, to support clients in sectors such as built environment, advisory, energy, and water. Collaborating with sustainability, climate, and environmental practitioners to provide integrated solutions. Advising on various aspects of waste management , including characterization, production, treatment, storage, and disposal. Producing technical reports such as waste strategies , management plans , and BAT (Best Available Techniques) studies . Preparing waste-related sections for broader environmental reports, such as ESIA , ESDD , and scoping reports . Assisting in the development of new business opportunities and sales leads. Leading or supporting bids and proposals related to waste management and environmental management . Traveling internationally as required for internal/external meetings and site visits. Candidate Specification Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant environmental discipline ; engineering disciplines are also encouraged to apply. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in developing waste management technical calculations , strategy development, and waste characterization analysis. Knowledge of the latest waste management technologies . Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Middle East legislation , policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practices related to waste management and environmental management is highly desirable. Understanding of permitting processes and requirements for waste disposal, storage, and treatment. Skills and Competencies: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of technical staff, partner companies, and regulators. Strong networking skills to develop new client relationships and market opportunities. Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions and collaboration with colleagues across various disciplines. Project management and delivery experience. Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with broader sustainability , climate change , and environmental disciplines is advantageous.
