The City of Blair is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Water Treatment Plant Chemist to join our Public Works team! This full-time, exempt position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our community's water supply. • Conduct chemical and biological analyses to ensure water safety and compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
• Collect and analyze water samples from all stages of treatment and distribution.
• Prepare compliance reports and maintain quality control records for regulatory submission.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to water quality.
• Collaborate with team members to manage inventory, prepare chemical reagents, and maintain laboratory protocols.

• A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• Experience in water treatment analysis or laboratory procedures is preferred.
• A valid driver's license at the time of hire.
• Ability to obtain a Grade 4 Water Operator License within six months of hire.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Competitive pay range: $68,390.40- $81,307.20 annually , based on experience.
