Job Description



We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Counselor or Social Worker specializing in pediatrics to join our team in Las Cruces, United States. In this role, you will provide crucial therapeutic support and intervention to children and adolescents facing emotional, psychological, or social challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting mental health and overall well-being for our young clients and their families.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's emotional, behavioral, and social needs to inform developmentally appropriate treatment planning
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique developmental stage and challenges
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using age-appropriate therapeutic modalities and techniques
  • Monitor and evaluate progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to ensure effective and supportive care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to legal and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with parents, pediatricians, educators, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for children
  • Educate children and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources
  • Advocate for the needs of pediatric clients within the mental health system and facilitate access to additional services
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies, ensuring the immediate safety and stability of young clients
  • Stay informed about current best practices, regulations, and developments in child psychology and social work

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in mental health counseling or Master's in Social Work (MSW)
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice independently as a Clinical Counselor or Social Worker in the state of New Mexico
  • Successful completion of a state-recognized licensing exam (NCE, NCMHCE, or LCSW)
  • Completion of required supervised clinical hours or relevant field experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proven experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting
  • In-depth knowledge of child development and pediatric mental health
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate client records
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment
  • US Citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and families

Additional Information



Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.

Compensation| Min: $50hr Max: $80hr

Benefits – Full-time positions are eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
