We are currently seeking a Operational Technology Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Newport News, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).
We are looking for a dedicated Network Security Specialist to join our growing onsite delivery team in Newport News. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our cyber security tools, researching vulnerabilities, risks, and events, and supporting multiple projects across the customer portfolio as part of a hybrid agile delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain cyber security tools including but not limited to Splunk, McAfee/Trelix ESM, ENS, and ePO with McAfee Application control and DLP, and Tenable.sc.
Research and identify potential vulnerabilities and risks within our systems, and propose mitigation strategies.
Respond to security incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
Participate in agile teams to support the delivery of multiple projects across the customer portfolio.
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure that all IT systems are secure and protected against threats.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cyber threats, attack strategies, and mitigation techniques.
Familiarity with RMF 800-53 and DISA STIGs.
Provide regular reports on security status and incidents.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in managing and operating security tools such as Splunk, McAfee/Trelix ESM, ENS, and ePO with McAfee Application control and DLP, and Tenable.sc.
Current DOD 8570.m IAT II certification (Security+ or higher level certification)
Current Secret w/ SSBI clearance required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with OT Network devices
Experience with Darktrace and BeyondTrust
Additional certifications in Cybersecurity (CISSP, CISA, CISM etc.)
Familiarity with agile teams
Experience standing up and accrediting information systems under DCSA cognizance
Prior experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment
Strong understanding of vulnerability management and threat landscape
Familiarity with RMF 800-53 and DISA STIGs
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
