Position Overview KNZ Solutions is looking for knowledgeable and proactive Senior Network Security Engineer to provide client consultation to support the design and implementation of security components of clients’ networks. This individual should have advanced familiarity with routing including BGP, switching, and security technologies such as Cisco ISE and FTD/FMC. In addition, they must be able to make technical decisions on all project tasks and interface with all levels of client team. Reporting to the Director of Client Services Director, you will be part of a dynamic team of individuals that will support and foster your success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform troubleshooting through proven diagnostic techniques
  • Analyze and resolve network performance, connectivity, and related issues
  • Manage and perform equipment builds, deploy patches & upgrades
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for internal knowledge base
  • Root Cause Analysis and Problem Resolution
  • Actively work to identify and solve repeat issues, improving on existing services or processes where necessary
  • Demonstrate complete proficiency in problem management
  • Serve as technical point of contact on customer engagements
  • Maintain client relationships through multiple forms of electronic interactions
  • Present solutions to technology issues and problems in user-friendly language
  • Provide clear communication with customers to ensure resolution of all open issues
  • Assist in the management of projects
  • Regularly interface with technical and business staff of clients, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagements
  • Identify and communicate potential opportunities for cross-selling to the sales team
  • Manage time and expense to meet or exceed expectations defined in the Statement of Work
  • Provide high quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templates
  • Work with Project Manager and clients to manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are being met
  • Conduct/lead design workshops for complex designs to meet client’s business and technical objectives
  • Proactively develop plans and activities to avoid problems
  • Educate the client on solution as appropriate throughout the life of the project
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of network engineering, implementation, support / troubleshooting experience
  • Experience in firewall design and implementation in medium to large environments
  • Manufacturer certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, PCNSE, VCAP, CISSP preferred
  • Experience with designing and implementing Cisco ISE, FTD/FMC, and Palo Alto
  • Experience with designing and implementing segmentation such as Illumio and Tetration
  • Consulting experience preferred
  • Understanding of change management, testing requirements, techniques, and tools to ensure high availability of platforms
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders, and IT teams
  • Ability to work during non-business hours, as needed
  • Ability to travel, as required to support assigned projects/initiatives
  • Proficiency in Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail

Base Pay Salary Range $80,000 - $120,000 USD
